Traditional restaurants in old riads offer fixed menus of tagine, couscous and pastilla in courtyards decorated with zellige. Contemporary restaurants lean into fusion cooking. Rooftop restaurants offer views over the medina and the Koutoubia.

Dining in a riad courtyard

Eating in a riad courtyard, dim lighting and live music, is an experience in itself. Book ahead, especially in high season. Most traditional restaurants don't serve alcohol.
