Three days is the sweet spot for a first visit to Marrakech: enough time to soak up the medina, explore Gueliz, and still escape the city for a half-day trip.

Day 1: The Heart of the Medina

Spend your first day getting to know old Marrakech. Start at Jemaa el-Fna square, transformed by evening into an open-air spectacle. Nearby, the Koutoubia Mosque dominates the skyline. In the afternoon, wander through the souks. Staying at a riad inside the medina, like Riad Dar Kawkawa, just three minutes' walk from Jemaa el-Fna and the Koutoubia, is a real advantage.

Day 2: Gardens, Palaces, and a Hammam

Day two shifts toward a calmer, greener Marrakech. Head to the Majorelle Garden, then the Gueliz district. Alternatively, the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs showcase Andalusian-influenced architecture. Round off the day with a hammam session, a well-earned break.

Day 3: A Half-Day Excursion and a Relaxed Final Evening

On your third day, step outside the city: a half-day trip to the Ourika Valley, an excursion to Lake Lalla Takerkoust, or a drive up into the Atlas Mountains. Back by late afternoon, enjoy an unhurried final evening in the medina, sipping mint tea on a rooftop and taking one last look at Jemaa el-Fna's energy.
